Kathmandu option 1: Two Nights / Three Days

Day 1: Arrival

 

Welcome with flower Garland at Kathmandu Airport .Transfer to the hotel.

City tour of Kathmandu durbar Square (UNESCO's World heritage site) which is filled wth historical temples and Palaces. The tour includes a visit of Asantpur Square, Hanumana Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, Kalbhairabh and the famous House of "Kumari"

 

We continue our tour to "Swayambhunath" - a 2000 years old Buddhist temple popularly known as Monkey temple. This monument has the finest view of Kathmandu City.

 

Return to the hotel for the evening dinner. Overnight at the Hotel in Kathmandu.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu

 

Enjoy an early morning breakfast then proceed to a full day of guided sightseeing.

 

Sightseeing includes: Pashupatinath- the most sacred Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Near the temple in the bank of Bagmati river where one can see the ancent crematorium. Then we drive to Boudhanath- the 5th Century Tibetan Buddhist stupa which is one of the largest stupa in the world. It is the massive dome shaped structure but solid which is built in the octagonal foundations. There are over two dozens Tibetan monasteries.

 

We then continue our drive to the medieval town of  Bhaktapur (Bhadgaon), one of the most beautiful heritage cities in Kathmandu valley. The interesting things to see here are Durbar square, 55 windows palace, Nyatapola temple, Potters square, Dattatreya square, Peacock window, etc. You wil also experience the style of living for its inhabitants and beautiful pagoda styled temples.

 

Next visit is to PATAN - the city of fine art and architecture. This is another Newar ( local people of Kathmandu) town which is famous for Pagoda architecture and exceptional craftsmanship, Interesting things to see are: Patan palace, Patan museum, Krishna temple, Viswanath temple, stone fountains ,Golden temple etc. We will also visit the Patan Handicraft center and Tibetan Refugee camp to view their handmade Nepalese handicrafts such as statues, stones, woodcarving , Pashminas ,paintings (Thankas) and woolen carpets etc.

Return to the Hotel and Evening FAREWELL DINNER with dance in the Local Nepalese Restaurant.

 

Note: All the above sights are UNESCO's world heritage sites.

 

Day 3:

Morning free for optional Mountain flight (Everest Flight). This is 01 hour flight which takes place in the morning around 0700 hrs .During this flight one can see dozens of Mountains including Mt. Everest 8848 m. This flight is very popular.

Afternoon transfer to the airport for your international flight and warm farewell with a holy Buddhist Farewell scarf .
